New Year, New Start

New Year New Start

Each year there are students who find they’ve chosen the wrong course, or who just don’t settle in a large and perhaps impersonal environment. Perhaps you didn’t go to university at all and are now regretting it.

It’s not too late to change – If you’ve dropped out or are thinking about a change, consider us. With an intake in January, there’s never been a better time to consider a degree at The University of Buckingham.

We know that contact time and value for money are a big concern to students and are the main reasons many students drop out . That’s why we’re a bit different here at The University of Buckingham. With a focus on teaching and 2 year degrees – you won’t find a lack of contact time or lack of value for money here! If you’re thinking of dropping out or a change, see below as to why so many students choose The University of Buckingham.

  • 2 year undergraduate degrees

Buckingham has pioneered the two-year honours degree. Studying for two years at Buckingham allows you to gain an equivalent degree to one achieved in three years elsewhere. This puts you ahead of the game  and can set you apart in that all important job application and it also gives you better value for money – paying fees for only two years, rather than three.

  • Contact time and small study groups

We can’t emphasise more what a lovely community we are at The University of Buckingham. As a small university, you’ll benefit from a staff-student ratio of 1:11.3, with small teaching groups and plenty of access to your tutors. This ratio ensures that a high and continuous level of support is maintained, from an academic to a pastoral point of view. It allows a degree of interaction between staff and students rarely found in other universities.

  • Emphasis on teaching

Here at The University of Buckingham, our emphasis is firmly placed on the value of teaching. You’ll find it easy to access our lecturers and top academics, they won’t be found hiding away focussing solely on their research.

With all of this in mind, it’s no surprise that we continually rank highly in the National Student Survey.

There are plenty of reasons to choose The University of Buckingham and with a January intake, there’s never been a better time for a new year, new start.
