Welcome to the University of Buckingham Medical School
Building on from the Buckingham ethos of putting the student first and above all else, our medical school is small enough for our students to be part of a coherent and supportive community, and large enough to provide all the experience you need to become a medical practitioner.
Our condensed 4.5 year MB ChB programme is derived from a well-established curriculum. Its every aspect is engineered to help you develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become a professional and ethical doctor.
The University of Buckingham Medical School received General Medical Council (GMC) accreditation in May 2019. The GMC has commended the University for the ‘excellent professional, academic and pastoral support that extends throughout the University and clinical learning environments’ and ‘the robust systems that ensure the quality of all aspects of the MB ChB programme, including teaching and assessment’. Take a look at our GMC Accreditation FAQs.
Our Medical School is suited to both UK and international students. As an independent medical school, we have no cap on international student places.

Our admissions process consists of two stages: the first stage is to submit an application with all supporting documents (either via UCAS, or directly to us), via the Apply button.
If the applicant meets our entry requirements, he or she is invited to the second stage which is a Selection event. We hold numerous selection events during each admissions cycle.
Selection Day is when we interview candidates using Multiple Mini Interviews. Our decision to make an offer is based on how well the candidates do at Selection.
Dates for our 2022 Selection Days will be published here shortly.
