Professor Anthony Glees was quoted in an article in The Independent (25 November): “Syria crisis: Terror groups being funded by car thefts and scams in the UK”. To read this article, click here.

Professor Glees also spoke at a conference on Extremism and Higher Education at the Institute of Advanced Study at the University of London and debated legislation and freedom of speech at the University of Cambridge’s ‘Festival of Ideas’.  He has been interviewed on Sky TV News about recently released MI5 and MI6 papers and on BBC Oxford about David Cameron’s counter-terrorism legislation. He debated the Government’s proposed new interception legislation on Sky TV News on 31 October and on BBC Radio Oxford on 30 October.  He was also interviewed on the release of Shaker Aamer on BBC Five Live News and on the possible cause of the Russian airline crash in North Sinai on LBC.
