The other speaker was National Schools Commissioner Sir David Carter. He works closely with regional school commissioners to support education professional across England to achieve the best education systems.

Vice-Chancellor Sir Anthony Seldon said: “It is the happiest time of our academic year. Graduation brings home what a truly global university we are. One thing that a lot of students say on graduating is that they will have a floor to sleep on all around the world for the rest of their lives because of the friends they have made while studying at Buckingham.

“We are so very proud of all our graduates. Doing a degree in two years requires commitment, hard work and skill. Buckingham scores highly in employability league tables because employers recognise what a fantastic job our students have done achieving a great degree in less time than other students.

“We are excited to see growing numbers of our students graduating each year and hearing of the huge range of great jobs and postgraduate studies they are undertaking. We are delighted to be welcoming more and more students on postgraduate courses at Buckingham because they’ve enjoyed their two years so much that they don’t want to leave! Of course, doing a postgraduate course at Buckingham means you have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree within three years so our students get into the workplace faster than their peers. Huge congratulations to all the students who have graduated – we couldn’t be prouder.”
