Themed taster session
Experience what it is like to be a Psychology student during the themed tutorial: ‘Play in Adulthood’.
Adults are playing more often and in more diverse ways than ever. With record attendance at game conventions, the huge success of escape rooms, and the demographics for video and board games shifting from children to people in their 20s, 30s and beyond, this tutorial questions: are we in the Golden age of play for adults?
But what is it doing for us? We will explore if obsessive play can negatively affect us, if it provides an escape from our problems, and if it benefits our work, mental health and relationships.
