Press Release: Lord Young to visit The University of Buckingham

On Wednesday the 18 July Lord Young of Graffham, the Prime Minister’s Enterprise Adviser, will visit The University of Buckingham to talk to students and staff about the UK Government‘s support and encouragement of young entrepreneurs.

Lord Young will have an opportunity to meet with current students on Buckingham’s unique Business Enterprise course during which students start up and develop their own new business, at the same time as studying for an honours degree.

Nigel Adams, Programme Director of the BSc in Business Enterprise says: “We are delighted to have Lord Young visit our University. He is a successful businessman in a variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing and digital technology and we have an opportunity to show him what Buckingham and its students can do.”

Current students on the Business Enterprise course will make brief presentations by about their businesses and have the opportunity to talk with Lord Young about their experiences of running their own businesses.

During his visit Lord Young will launch the “Start-up Career Milk Round” organised by students from Buckingham Business Enterprise Society, in liaison with NACUE (National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs). This will bring together owners and managers of small and medium enterprises with potential student and graduate interns and employees (http://bbemilkround-eorg.eventbrite.com/).
