Your financial wellbeing

Financial wellbeing is about a sense of security and feeling as though you have enough money to meet your needs. It’s about being in control of your day-to-day finances and having the financial freedom to make choices that allow you to enjoy life

Hardship Fund

The Hardship Fund is available for students to apply to who are in genuine hardship from a recent event. It is not there to cover study fees or accommodation fees but can help with living expenses if you qualify. To apply you must complete the online Hardship fund application form and supply the information required to make an informed decision.

You may be asked to attend a meeting to discuss your application further. We are also able to lend some laptops to students who may have had an issue with theirs so they can do their coursework but the loan period is subjected to restrictions which will be explained should you need to ask for one. This will also need to be at the request of your personal tutor or course leader.

Bursaries and scholarships

We have bursaries and scholarships available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, these are awarded based on location, merit or financial need.

Grants and loans

There are various grants and loans available to Buckingham students.
