Apply for Accommodation

Room offers are made in the order that applications are received, with priority going to those students who are new to the University. If you have confirmed your place at Buckingham you should apply now.

Please make sure that you have read and understood our Accommodation Terms and Conditions before you apply for and accept a place in University accommodation. You will be entering into a legally binding contract for which there is no opt-out clause.  Unless there are serious extenuating circumstances, you will be financially liable for the whole duration of your contract.

All new accommodation contracts are for a minimum of 4 terms (3 terms if you are a Medical School student).

We do not ask for an accommodation deposit when you apply for accommodation initially.  In order to confirm your room booking you are required to pay for the first term within 10 days of being made your room offer (this may be before you receive your Student Loan.

January 2019 entry first-year accommodation guarantee: apply before 30 November 2018.

If you are an applicant joining us in January 2019 you may Apply Now.  Room offers for January will be made week commencing 19 November 2018.  In order to be guaranteed a place in University accommodation for January, please apply for an accommodation place before 30 November 2018. Applications after this date are still welcome. Accommodation applications for September 2019 entry will open in January 2019.

MB ChB Medical Students
Keys can be collected from the Accommodation Office on Saturday the 5th of January between 10am and 4pm.  Alternatively, they can be collected from the Chandos Road Building, during registration, on Sunday the 6th of January between 10am and 2pm.

Non-Medical Students
Keys can be collected from the Chandos Road Building on Thursday the 17th of January between 9am and 5pm.

Early arrivals
We are very sorry but it will not be possible for you to move into your room any earlier than the dates stated above.  Therefore, if you are intending to arrive early, we kindly ask that you make your own accommodation arrangements.

Late arrivals
Your room will be held until Friday the 1st of February if you have a confirmed booking.

All of our rooms are fully furnished.

If you are new to the University we will provide you with a bedding pack which consists of a duvet and cover, a pillow and pillowcase and a sheet.  Please bring your own towels.

There are kettles, microwaves and toasters in the kitchens but you will need to bring your own pots, pans and crockery.
