Student welfare

We pride ourselves on being one of the most caring universities in the UK and, as we are small, we can provide the sort of personal and individual attention that other universities cannot hope to achieve. Learning support for dyslexia, support for disabilities, financial and personal problems, and advice on health care are just some of the many ways we can help make sure your years at Buckingham are fulfilling, happy and successful.

Disabilities

If you are physically disabled or have other disabilities, we have the resources to help you.

Dyslexia

If you have dyslexia, we can help you achieve very good grades, as we have done with many dyslexic students before.

Personal Tutors

Every new student has a Personal Tutor, throughout their time at Buckingham.

Hardship funds

Help for students who are in financial difficulty.

Residential assistants

Every hall of residence has a Residential Assistant to advise & help you settle.

Health & emotional problems

Medical, emotional and stress-related problems can all be overcome with our help.

Student liaison

Students' Forum, Student Liaison Officer and Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education.

Learning support
