Tuition fees for Home students

What does it cost and how do I pay for it?

Home students

Our standard tuition fee is £12,600 per year for our two-year courses or £25,200 in total for your full honours degree. This compares to most other universities who will be charging £9,250 per year for three years, or a total of £27,750. You also save a whole year of accommodation and living costs when you complete your degree in two years instead of three.

*Fee Increases: the University reserves the right to increase course fees annually in line with inflation linked to the Retail Price Index (RPI) to take account of the University’s increased costs of delivering educational services. If the University intends to increase your course fees it will notify you via email of this as soon as reasonably practicable.

Loans, scholarships and bursaries

Buckingham students (from the UK and EU) can access student loans for tuition fees up to £6,165 per year or £12,330 in total. Depending on your family income you can also get maintenance loans up to £8,430 per year from the Student Loan Company. These loans may not cover the full cost of your tuition fee and living costs, so you will need to be sure that you can afford to meet the remaining fees as well as living costs when you enrol with us.

We also offer a number of discounts, scholarships and bursaries which can help bring the cost down for you. And you can get the full maintenance grant as a loan from the Student Loan Company.

There are other ways to reduce the costs. For example, you can get a £2,000 per year scholarship fee discount if you achieve grades AAB or better in your A levels, or equivalent grades in other qualifications.
