When I discovered Buckingham’s two-year accelerated programme, I knew it was the right path for me. The opportunity to complete my degree faster without compromising on quality was exactly what I was looking for.

My time at Buckingham wasn’t without its challenges; I faced personal difficulties along the way that tested my resilience. But the supportive environment and small class sizes meant I never felt like just another student. The lecturers genuinely cared about our progress and were always accessible when I needed guidance.

What I loved most was how hands-on the Cybersecurity pathway was. I had the chance to work on real-world projects, from building a comprehensive cybersecurity learning platform to developing secure applications using industry-standard encryption. These experiences gave me practical skills that I’m already applying in my career.

What’s next?

I’m now pursuing a career in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), building on my internship experience working with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 frameworks. Buckingham gave me the foundation and confidence to enter the cybersecurity industry, and I’m excited about what’s ahead.
