Zoe Cooper (BSc Psychology)
I chose to study at The University of Buckingham because of its small class sizes. I truly believe that the use of this teaching method played a large part in enabling me to achieve a first-class honours in my degree as it allowed me to check my understanding at all stages of my degree. I also decided to study here because the psychology course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, thus meaning that I did not limit my career options.
Most of my degree took place during the Covid-19 pandemic so my University experience naturally differed from the expectations that I had when I moved to University. However, I still really enjoyed my time here. Whilst studying online I received weekly check-in emails from my personal tutor which helped me to feel supported and connected to the University even when studying from home.
Studying at The University of Buckingham has helped me to grow as a person and has greatly helped to improve my confidence.
I hope to go on and get a job in crime analytics, a career that my degree should help with due to its emphasis on research methods and on data handling skills.
