Humanoid robot and mini robot in Verney Park

AgileX Ranger Mini robot and Unitree G1 humanoid robot

The School of Computing were delighted to welcome Aron Kisdi from Autodiscovery and LUCA LU from AgileX Robotics to deliver the penultimate lecture of the Robotics module.

Our industry speakers brought with them a Unitree G1 humanoid robot, marking the first time a humanoid system has been demonstrated on our campus at Buckingham, and an AgileX Ranger Mini robot.

Students engaged with live demonstrations and discussion on control, sensing, safety, ethics, deployment at scale and career opportunities in robotics.

After the lecture, the robots were taken around the Franciscan Building where they met many excited students and staff from the Faculty of Computing, Law and Psychology.

We are grateful to our guests for an exceptional session and for supporting our mission to connect academic learning with the cutting edge of industry.
