Students from Pakistan have always been an important part of our student community at the University of Buckingham. Our vibrant international student community is seen as a handy springboard to broaden horizons while our quintessential British educational structure has always been highly valued.

We currently have over 50 Pakistani students, studying a very wide range of academic disciplines that includes Accounting and Finance, Economics, Politics and Law.

Entry requirements

English Language requirements
It is very important that your English level is of a good standard for you to be successful in your studies. All applicants must achieve the minimum requirements in all 4 components (listening, reading, speaking and writing). Check our English language requirements.

Foundation
Foundation programmes provide a bridge between school study in your home country and undergraduate study at a UK university. Choose this course if you have successfully completed 12 years of schooling with a good school leaving qualification. This programme leads to undergraduate programmes in the Schools of Business, Sciences or Humanities. All the courses are taught by subject specialist staff at Buckingham, so you will be part of university life from your first day.

Undergraduate
If you are considering enrolling as a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Buckingham you need to have achieved the following:

  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) at 50% or better + Foundation
  • Bachelor of Arts / Commerce (Pass)
  • GCE A-levels: An average grade of B depending on the programme

Postgraduate
In order to study at postgraduate level (Master’s degree), you will generally need to have attained:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised higher education institution, equivalent to a British Bachelor’s (Honours) degree, with a minimum of a 2:2 (or the level of which will differ for each school of study).

As proof of English Language proficiency you would need one of the following:

NB: These grades quoted above give an indication of a typical offer; at the Admissions Tutor’s discretion, alternative qualifications or gradings may be considered. All applications will be considered individually and work experience and other interdisciplinary achievements are taken into consideration when deciding upon all applications. Applicants may also be invited to interview.

The University of Buckingham is very appealing to students from Pakistan because of the way that the courses are structured, which is very different from what we have back home.

The structure is very ordered and students can very easily adapt to the progression through the degree. The online materials and constant support also make it a brilliant environment to excel in.
