About our Computing Tasters
Join us online to discover what it’s like to be a Computing student at Buckingham!
Taster Theme
Each taster includes a themed session, so you can experience what it is like to attend a Computing tutorial.
This taster’s theme is: Cyber Security
Interested in the world of technology and keen to learn how to protect against cyber threats?
You’ll learn about the diverse career opportunities that await you in cybersecurity, from ethical hacking to digital forensics, and discover why experts in this field are in high demand. We will also explore how cyber criminals deceive people using online tactics such as phishing emails, social engineering, and AI-based hyper personalisation that make scams more convincing. You’ll see how this works in practice, and learn how to recognise the warning signs.
