Fees and Finance

The University of Buckingham is the UK’s only independent University with a Royal Charter. We do not receive direct UK Government funding for teaching but our UK / EU students can still benefit from UK Government backed student loans as a contribution towards fees and living expenses*. For our students, this independence means that we are free to uphold the liberal ideal upon which we were founded and put our students first ahead of targets and budgets.

Because of this, our fee structure is different from that of most other UK universities, and because most of our undergraduate degrees are just two years rather than three, students make an enormous saving on their living expenses, and can enter the graduate employment or study a year earlier. Buckingham students are also able to complete a Masters degree in just three years rather than four.

*terms and conditions apply to UK/EU Student Loans Company eligibility for fees/living expenses loans.

These pages outline our tuition fees and extensive scholarships / bursaries.
