Enterprise and Entrepreneurship degrees

Want to be the next Peter Jones, Elon Musk or Abigail Johnson? Then our BSc. (Hons) Business Enterprise degree could be for you.

This degree combines academic theory with real world experience. You will be given a unique opportunity to put theory into practice during your degree by starting, developing and running a business whilst studying. You’ll even get the chance to pitch for seed-corn capital of up to £5,000 to help get your idea off the ground.

Our two-year degrees are innovative, stimulating and developed to help you naturally adopt an entrepreneurial mind-set and a global, ‘real world’ perspective through integrated case-based and practical learning. Our BSc Business Enterprise BBE is the first undergraduate Venture Creation Programme (VCP) at a university anywhere in the world. This means students are required to start and run a business as part of their degree, this is not your typical degree programme as this programme is split between real-world application and theoretical knowledge.

What’s more, 97% of Business Enterprise (BBE) students say they have been provided with positive learning opportunities.

Your future career

Enterprise and Entrepreneurship equips you with the skills to move forward as an entrepreneur, or even in the corporate world, with the skills you have learnt. Who knows, you may even pursue the business you set up and curated at The University of Buckingham.

Graduates have gone on to do amazing things in both the corporate and self-starter world.

For example, after completing his degree, Andreas Hampel worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley in London, Frankfurt and Dubai, focusing on deal execution in Western Europe, CEE and the Middle East.  In contrast, since leaving Buckingham Sean Ruane has co-founded an HR tech start up. Since joining back in January 2017, they have raised nearly £3M from both Angel and Venture Capital investors.

We support your employability through a Professional Development Portfolio, in which you write reflectively about the professional skills you acquire and use during your time at university. These skills will help you in your studies as well as being crucial for your future career.
