Tailor your
degree

We’ve introduced Flexible Honours so you can shape your degree as you go.

Discover our Flexible Honours

Make your degree as unique as you.

A flexible undergraduate honours degree could be for you if you’re interested in humanities, but want to sample a range of subject areas. Our flexible honours allow you to tailor your degree to reflect your interests and passions by combining your core modules with other subjects taught at the University. This means that when you graduate you will have a highly personalised full honours undergraduate degree that will suit you and your aspirations.

The University offers several flexible undergraduate honours degrees, from History to Economics, which enable you to mix and match your favourite subjects while still keeping you on track to complete a full honours degree in two years.

Flexible honours give you the freedom to select up to a third of your modules from the whole range that is taught at the University. You can follow your passion and mix and match lots of different subjects. At every stage, your Personal Tutor will be on hand to advise and guide your choices.

We offer a selection of flexible honours degrees.

Flexible Honours degrees are also available with a Foundation year.

Why choose Buckingham?

The University of Buckingham is ranked 2nd for Graduate Prospects (On Track) in the UK. We believe in a high-quality education delivered with passion and focus on imparting useful and relevant knowledge. We also offer students the opportunity to study a degree their way, giving a range of options on how to study and September and January start dates for almost all of our courses.

Buckingham is surrounded by green spaces, and our riverside campus is the ideal backdrop for your studies. You can get the best of both worlds; you are never far from a city. Milton Keynes is a 20-minute drive away and offers plenty to do. You could even jump on a fast train to explore many big cities.

We keep class sizes small, so you won’t get lost in the crowd. You will be assigned a personal tutor to support you every step of the way, and our academic and student support teams will ensure you have the tools to succeed in your studies.

We also offer the option of two-year degrees, a condensed version of the traditional three-year degree, meaning you can gain a full honours degree, but graduate a whole year earlier. Alternatively, you can complete both your undergraduate and master’s degree with us in just three years: saving you time and money.
