Only Cambridge can boast a greater number of first-place finishesOnly Cambridge boasts a greater number of first-place finishes among the nine performance indicators that feed into the rankings.

University of Buckingham Director of Admissions and Recruitment James Seymour said: “We are delighted to be ranked first in the UK in three key areas, above Oxford, Cambridge and all other UK Universities. This is a ringing endorsement of our trailblazing approach to teaching excellence and student experience.

“Whilst studying at other universities can mean big, impersonal lectures, Buckingham’s high staff-student ratio and open door policy results in students at Buckingham getting all the help and inspiration they need from our academic and support staff. Buckingham students enjoy the benefits of small Oxbridge-style tutorial groups where creative enquiry, discussion and debate is encouraged. This makes our students highly employable, ready for the challenges and opportunities of the global economy.”

The University, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, also came top in the National Student Survey (NSS) rankings, voted for by students, with its best ever score for student satisfaction this year.
