Buckingham alumna, Moky Makura (Politics, Economics and Law, 1988) is Communications Lead for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Education Team. She will be speaking about why having fun with your career can land you in unexpected places – at the top of the tree – and why it’s important to be brave when you get there.
“I travel a lot and over the years my fear of turbulence hasn’t so much lessened as focused my mind on making sure I live a full life with no regrets. These days, I have a sense of calm during rough flights, because I feel I have ticked off many things on my life’s bucket list. It doesn’t mean I don’t have any new ambitious, it means, as of this moment, I am content with where I am with them. It means not procrastinating.”
