Supporting the new Domestic Abuse Bill

Our Emeritus Professor Susan Edwards has had a new paper titled “Consent and the ‘Rough Sex’ Defence in Rape, Murder, Manslaughter and Gross Negligence” published by The Journal of Criminal Law.

The new Domestic Abuse bill will now include provisions against the “rough sex” defence, something Professor Edwards has been calling for over many years.
