Buckingham PhD student stands in the local council elections

James Tooley, Vice-Chancellor with Ade OsibogunAde Osibogun, a practicing lawyer doing a PhD in Constitutional Law at The University of Buckingham, where he got his degree in Law, is standing as a Conservative candidate for Buckingham East ward.

The former Student Union President of The University of Buckingham lives with his family in Buckingham, and both his daughters go to primary school in Buckingham.

Ade is an active member of different voluntary associations in town, including Buckingham Rotary Club and Buckingham Twinning Association.

Ade said: “I am passionate about many issues, especially education. I would like to champion the cause for local schools to be more accountable to children, parents and our community, in areas of performance, standards, safeguarding, fair access and special education needs.

“I am also keen to improve relationships between local businesses and educational institutions within Buckinghamshire to help promote opportunities for a better understanding of the needs of our local job market.”
