Why you must complete your online registration
Online registration is an important step in becoming a student at the University of Buckingham. Once you’re invited to register, please complete this process as soon as you can — you must have completed your online registration before you arrive for your in-person registration. You won’t be able to attend your programme of study until this step is finished and completing it early ensures you can access your timetable and other essential services on time.
When completing your online registration, you’ll be asked to:
- Confirm or update your personal details
- Agree to the University’s terms and conditions
Completing Your Registration
Step 1 – Collect your Buckingham Account
When it is time to complete your Online Registration with the University of Buckingham You will receive an email from our I.T Service Desk asking you to collect your I.T account. You will not be able to progress with your online registration until you have completed this step. If you encounter any problems activating your account, please contact servicedesk@buckingham.ac.uk providing your student number and a brief description of the problem.
Step 2 – Online Registration
After your account is collected, you will then shortly receive an email asking you to complete your online registration. You can do this by clicking on the link in your email or by logging in to the student portal to confirm your personal details, and acceptance of the University’s terms and conditions.
It is essential that you collect your university account and complete your online registration before you arrive on campus. If these steps are not completed in advance, we will not be able to complete your registration when you arrive and, you will not be able to collect your timetable or receive your Student ID card. Please make sure to complete these steps as soon as you receive your activation email.
Step 3 – Send a Photo
Submit your student by following the steps within the online registration form so we can produce your student ID card. Your ID card is essential for accessing University buildings and Library services, so make sure you send your photo in good time to avoid any delays. If you do not send us a photo in advance of your arrival, you will experience a delay in receiving your ID card.
In-Person Registration
If you are studying a course delivered on-site at Buckingham, the final step of your registration is attending an in-person registration session. This is an essential step to ensure your student record is accurate and that you have full access to University services from day one. Details on how to book an appointment with us are included in your online registration, please refer to our When You Arrive information to find out what you need to bring to your in person registration session.
