A unique educational experience combining academic competence in Operational Excellence with on-the-ground application of the knowledge taught.

With 50% of the year dedicated to online learning and 50% dedicated to work-based projects, students earn accreditation for each level successfully completed.
How does it work for students based in the APAC region?
Candidates are enrolled as University of Buckingham students and granted online access to our student resources and services. The online learning component is accessed virtually enabling flexible study at your own pace.
Lean Strategy provide regional support for both students and their employers, through tutorials, work-based project mentoring and employer consultation.
This tailored version of BSc OPEX benefits those residing in APAC, as the practical component on the course is now delivered by a team of post-graduate qualified tutors located in Australia. Lean Strategy tutors bring extensive experience in the hands-on delivery of OPEX programs across multiple industries coupled with a wealth of knowledge gained from senior positions in the APAC public or private sectors.
Minimum of 3 years experience in front-line or support operations, confirmed by the student’s line manager.
Students will join company programmes as a group, either self-sponsoring or sponsored by their company. They will be asked to provide a letter of recommendation from their employer.

Virtual Learning:
- Modules are engaging and interactive, accessible via computer, tablet or mobile.
- Each module is taken and assessed online.
- Tutors support and assess progress, guiding learners throughout their journey.
Work-Based Projects
- Students apply their newly acquired knowledge, rapidly applying their learning back in the operation.
- Students take part in one substantial project or a portfolio of smaller projects over a 6-month period each year.
On completion of the BSc Operational Excellence, students have the option to proceed onto Masters and Professional Doctorate programmes.
