I found the staff in both the Law School and Buckingham as a whole to be nothing but supportive and encouraging of my goals. As a result, I was able to thrive and graduated from my LLB (Bachelors of Law) with First Class Honours in 2017 and then completed an LLM by Research (Masters of Law) on mental health law in 2018. The accelerated degree program gave me an advantage over graduates from other universities and allowed me to complete both an LLB and LLM within 3 years.
Take your career further
Improve your job prospects, pursue your passion and gain a higher qualification with postgraduate study.
Postgraduate study can increase your earning potential on average by £7,000 more per year than someone graduating with just an undergraduate degree (Graduate labour market statistics, 2020). With our two-year model, you can complete both your undergraduate and master’s degree with us in just three years: saving you time and money.
What postgraduate programmes does the University of Buckingham offer?
We offer a wide range of master’s degrees, including MSc, MA, MBA and LLM programmes. We also offer a number of other postgraduate taught programmes, including short courses, postgraduate certificates, graduate diplomas and courses in Education. Taught programmes have a similar amount of contact (teaching) time as an undergraduate degree. They are made up of a range of modules that are delivered through lectures, seminars and tutorials, and will enable you to develop a higher level of expertise.
We also offer a range of research programmes, spanning master’s, PhD and professional doctorates. Postgraduate research degrees are based around independent learning, working one-on-one with a supervisor (so have a lot less contact time than taught programmes), and are more specialised.
