The Master’s Degree in Residential Education is a new qualification available for practitioners to research further into areas related to working in boarding schools.  Whilst under the overarching topic of boarding schools education there is a possibility to focus your research in a number of different specific subject areas including Safeguarding, Pastoral Care and Welfare issues, Child Development, Gender, Mentoring and Counselling, Attainment and Leadership.  This is a one year Level 7 research degree with one day at Whittlebury Hall followed by distance learning through allocation of an individual supervisor and support webinars.

The programme aims to enable experienced practitioners to develop expertise in areas of residential education through critical evaluation of research and scholarship in the field of education. Students will be able to critically analyze engage in and reflect on residential educational issues and reflect on the implications for teaching and learning.
