Claire Stocker edits new type 2 diabetes text book

Type 2 Diabetes: Methods and Protocols is a multi-author text book edited by Dr Claire Stocker, post-doctoral fellow in the Clore Laboratory. It is published by Humana Press.

The book chapters include brief introductions to the chapter subject, list of all reagents and necessary materials, step-by-step reproducible protocols and expert notes on trouble shooting and avoiding common pitfalls.

Jacqueline O’Dowd and Ed Wargent, together with Clore alumunus Anna Nolan, have contributed chapters as follows:

  • J. O’Dowd – The isolation and purification of rodent pancreatic islets of Langerhans.
  • A.L. Nolan and J. O’Dowd – The measurement of insulin secretion from isolated rodent islets of Langerhans.
  • E.T. Wargent – The measurement of insulin secretion using pancreas perfusion in the rodent.
