Professor Paul Trayhurn joins Clore Laboratory

Professor Paul Trayhurn has joined the Clore Laboratory as a Honorary Professor following his retirement from his position as Head of the Obesity Biology Research Unit at the University of Liverpool.

Paul’s major awards include Fellowship of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE) 1997, Andre Mayer prize from the International Obesity Association (1983). Friedrich Wasserman award from European Association of Obesity (2008) and Kaufman Memorial Lecture award from the International Society for Fat Research (2009).

Paul has over 150 peer reviewed publications, more than 100 published reviews, book chapters and symposia articles and over 200 published abstracts. His professional activities include MRC and BBSRC committees, awards committee of the International Association for the Study of Obesity and the scientific committee of several EU projects.
