2 + 1 – Psychology BSc and MSc in 3 years

The 2+1 programme refers to the 2-year undergraduate Psychology degree plus a 1-year Master’s by Research degree. This means that within three years you could have a BSc and MSc.

You do not need to enrol on the 2+1 programme specifically; simply select one of our Psychology programmes to begin with. Then near the end of the undergraduate programme you can select a research subject to focus on, potentially for both your undergraduate project and Master’s. Note that the MSc offer is conditional on satisfactory progress during the BSc, a 1st class or 2:1 degree (and at least a 2:1 in the undergraduate research project), and the recommendation of your undergraduate project supervisor.

There is a discount on the MSc fees for students who complete The University of Buckingham undergraduate psychology programme (25% for gaining a 2:1 and 33% for gaining a first). Begin your MSc at any time after completing your undergraduate BSc programme.
