BAME focus groups in Business
Led by Dean of Business, Dr Debarpita Bardhan-Correia, the council are exploring the perceptions of learning and teaching amongst BAME students at the University using qualitative research methods.

Diversity & Inclusion mentoring
Dr Joanne Selway and Staff at the Student’s Union are in the process of setting up a mentoring scheme to promote more interaction between students from different groups. This project aims to help students come together as a community and help new students embrace Buckingham’s inherent cultural diversity.

Inclusive curriculum in Law
Dr Sarah Sargent and Dr Erin Ferguson have been piloting the Kingston inclusive curriculum checklist to be used at the module level in the School of Law. They have modified the health check list and are currently determining how best to carry the health check out across all of the Law School modules.

Library support for disabled students
The library staff have been exploring ways to create a better experience for students who qualify and require additional support. Liaising with Students First, Peta Yates and her team are continuously reviewing the most appropriate techniques to provide a tailored service to all students
