WU Student Choice Awards 2017The University of Buckingham has been shortlisted for the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2017 in the Course and Lecturers Category.

Buckingham is one of ten to make the shortlist in the Course and Lecturers Category, which it has been shortlisted for last year and the year before.

Sir Anthony Seldon said: “We are delighted that our students rate our courses and lecturers so highly that we have been shortlisted for these awards. We try to make studying here a really positive experience by having one of the best staff to student ratios, an open door policy when it comes to lecturers and plenty of help with finding a job. Partly as a result of this, we lead the way in the National Student Survey and for student satisfaction. We hope to replicate this success with the Whatuni awards.”

Twenty-five thousand students across the UK have cast their opinions and the awards are based on averages taken from thousands of reviews submitted by students and published on whatuni.com.

There are 10 categories: Accommodation, City Life, Clubs and Societies, Course and Lecturers, Job Prospects, Student Union, Uni Facilities, Support Services, and an Overall rating which counts towards the title ‘University of the Year’. The category for International is based on the overall rating as given by international students at each university.

The rankings offer prospective students an unbiased, student-led alternative to traditional university ranking systems. Whatuni Student Rankings will be announced in April at a ceremony in London.
