BCAB Visiting Professor Duncan Steel has said that the original search and rescue operation for the missing Malaysia Airlines plane was in the wrong place. Based on available data, the plane probably ended up much further south. He also suggested that at least some consideration should be given to the northern corridor until it was ruled out completely.
