I’m not sure which Ceremony I should be attending

You will be automatically matched to your ceremony when you enter your student number when you Confirm you are coming.

Where can I park my car on Graduation Day?

There is limited car parking available at the Island Car Park on Hunter Street campus (a 5 minute walk from the Church) and at Verney Park (a 15 minute walk from the Church). Parking will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. There are additional car parks in the town centre. See the campus maps for Chandos Road and Verney Park for the exact location of car parks.

I have an accent in my name – can this be printed on my certificate?

Every effort will be made to print your name correctly. Please remember that the name you used when first registering as a student at the University is the name printed on the Graduation Certificate. It is therefore very important to notify Registry of any changes.

Can I use my mobile phone during the Ceremony?

We ask that all mobile phones are switched off during the Graduation Ceremony itself. You are welcome to use them at all other times.

Can I smoke?

No smoking will be allowed in the Church, any University buildings or the marquee.

What happens if I do not pass my degree programme this year?

If for any reason you do not pass your final examinations you may be invited to resit those in which you did not achieve a pass mark. If successful in these resits, you will be invited to attend a future Graduation Ceremony.
