Roger Perkins, Lecturer in Journalism in The University of Buckingham's English Department, 6th best in the UKHead of Journalism

Roger Perkins is an experienced journalist in the print, online and broadcast media. He started as a journalist on the Birmingham Post, and has since been a member of editorial teams on the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, The Sun and Sunday Mirror, as well as on magazines such as Punch, TV Times and Q. In 1998 Roger became deputy editor of the Electronic Telegraph website, subsequently international editor on the Vizzavi web portal, and then, for T-Mobile UK, editor of mobile content. There, he was part of the team that pioneered the news app for mobile phones. He was joint founder of the PR company Seager UK, and acted for many years as creative director. His teaching has taken him to Algeria, Italy, Venezuela and Spain.
