Distinguished Alumnus Award
The University introduced an annual Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2013.
The award will go to a University of Buckingham alumnus who, in the opinion of the judges, has made an outstanding contribution to society. Graduate nominees can be working in any field or sector from medicine to engineering, from the business world to the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors.
We are seeking alumni who have made a significant contribution, achieved fame or recognition, or have achieved great things out of the limelight.
The winner will feature in the alumni magazine, The Independent, as well as in the monthly email to alumni and on the website.
Who is eligible?
All former students are eligible to be nominated including “occasional” students who attended the University on exchanges from the USA in the 1970s and 1980s and students who did not complete their courses.
Who chooses the winner?
The judges will be the Vice-Chancellor, the Head of Alumni Relations and the Chairman of the UBAA. Their decision is final.
How do I make a nomination?
Alumni are invited to nominate individuals for the prize which is presented each year to a former student who has:
