GREAT Scholarship 2019 – China
This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, The University of Buckingham will be offering two scholarships to Chinese students applying for the postgraduate courses listed below.
In order to support more Chinese students to study in the UK, the British Council, together with 31 UK universities, has launched the GREAT Scholarships 2019 – China campaign. With 145 postgraduate scholarships on offer, the total value of the scholarship scheme is nearly £1 million. This new scholarship scheme will offer an exciting opportunity for Chinese students wishing to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for postgraduate courses in subjects including engineering, law, business, art and design, biosciences, IT and more, at 31 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Which courses are included?
The University of Buckingham is offering a total of two scholarships to students from China starting their degree in September 2019 worth £10,000 each. These are available to study on the following degree programmes:
Who is eligible to apply?
Applications will be considered from applicants who meet the following entry requirements:
- Chinese Bachelor degree from an MOE recognised University with minimum grade 88%
- IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component
- Chinese passport holder

The deadline to apply for the GREAT Scholarship is 31 January 2019. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview with the Programme Director and faculty staff during February 2019. The results will be announced by 2 March 2019.
Each scholarship is worth £10,000 which will be discounted from the course tuition fees.
