Online applications
We are currently piloting an improved online application form for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applications made via the form are delivered electronically to the University.
Preparing to fill in the form
You must read our online application form essential information page (linked to below). It gives key information about using the online application form. You may want to print the page or keep the browser window open whilst you fill in the form. This information is available in two ways:
- PDF (which is ideal for printing): online-applications-essential-info.pdf (8 KB)
- HTML which will open in a new window: www.buckingham.ac.uk/study/apply/direct/direct/online-essential.html
You may also want to see our Web pages on how to apply and fees and scholarships.
Applicants who have disclosed or who would like to disclose a disability or additional requirement are strongly advised to contact the Student Welfare Department (student.welfare@buckingham.ac.uk; tel +44 (0)1280 814080). Students will then be able to discuss how the University may meet these needs, before formally accepting an offer.

Remember that your referee will also need to submit your reference(s) by fax or post (see Submitting a reference).
Note: applicants for September entry into Economics and International Studies degrees will be contacted to discuss their preferences - 2- and 3-year degrees are available for successful applicants who begin their studies in September.
Data protection statement
We take your privacy very seriously and will not pass your details to any third party without your permission (other than where we are required to do so by law or regulation).
We need the information in this form in order to process your application and to complete our student records if you are offered a place and come to Buckingham. If you do not come to Buckingham your application will be kept on file for up to 1 year.

Postgraduate research applications
You can apply for our taught postgraduate programmes with the standard online application form (follow the link above). Due to the specialist nature of postgraduate research, you should discuss your research proposal with your prospective supervisor or the relevant academic department before applying and should use the paper-based application form.
If you need advice or have any questions before doing this, don't hesitate to contact our Admissions Office.
