Further details: Prior to coming to the University in 1991 Lawrie Drury set up, and was Principal of, Reed College. After eighteen years of preparing students for professional accounting examination, he freelanced as a lecturer in taxation and financial accounting, travelling extensively in eastern Europe following the fall of communist regimes. He is enthusiastic about links with schools, universities, business and the accounting professions in preparing students for business life.
