Press release
Last chance to apply for a £16,000+ university scholarship
Thursday 9 October 2008
A young, entrepreneurial student with an outstanding idea for a business has the chance to win a full-fee scholarship to study for an honours degree in Business Enterprise at the University of Buckingham, whilst also starting and running the business.
The University is organising a competition to find an outstanding young person, who would not otherwise be able to afford to study at university and start their own business. SEGRO plc has generously provided the funding, worth over £16,000.
To win the scholarship the applicant must prepare and submit their business plan to the University of Buckingham Business School by 10 November 2008. On 19 November 2008, Buckingham Enterprise Day, six selected finalists will each 'pitch' their proposals to 'Buckingham Angels', an all-women* venture capital panel, in front of an audience of school students.
The winner of the competition will be awarded the full-fee scholarship to study for a BSc in Business Enterprise at the University of Buckingham from the end of January 2009 or January 2010.
More information about this opportunity can be found on: http://www.buckingham.ac.uk/scholarship/bbe/ and by e-mailing bbe@buckingham.ac.uk or by telephoning +44 (0)1280 820226.
