Thursday 6th November 2003

Students at Buckingham are this week saying goodbye to cumbersome cables with the launch of a new Wireless Internet Access service.

The University's two libraries have been brought bang up to date with the creation of new "hotspot" areas.

The WIA service enables students to work in the way that suits them best, whether that's typing as they read The Times or surfing as they scan a periodical. Gone are the days of shuttle-running between library desk and computer terminal when an important essay is due.

WIA is just one of the new innovations being introduced at Buckingham to ensure that our students get the best learning experience available.
