On Wednesday 19th November the Publicity Team headed by Anne
Matsuoka (Alumni Relations Officer) hosted an Alumni Association
tea party in the Refectory.
The team, armed with a variety of delicious cakes, talked to the
December leavers about the benefits of registering on AlumNet (the
purpose-built website for our alumni) and staying in contact with
the University. The students were rewarded for coming along with a
slice of cake and great conversation!
AlumNet is currently being redesigned to include new information
for our alumni which will help them to get to know each other as
both business and social contacts. It is hoped it will be of great
benefit to current students, who are about to be come alumni, and
alumni alike. The Alumni relations team are working very hard to
ensure that none of our students miss out on the benefits of being
an alumnus of the University by getting to know as many students as
possible before they leave.
The tea party was a huge success and informative both to the
students who attended and to the team. It is proposed that this
event will take place twice a year to encourage students to stay in
touch with the University after leaving and to ensure that the
Buckingham Experience is not forgotten. We wish all our leavers
well in their future endeavours as they pursue careers in various
professional fields and countries.
