Now is your chance to benefit from generous scholarships to study for a degree in English and Journalism, made possible by a gift of Sir Ray Tindle, Chairman of Tindle Newspapers and a Doctor of Letters of the University of Buckingham.

Both mature applicants and school / college students will benefit from this opportunity to get a fast-track university (honours) degree qualification in just two years, followed by a guaranteed journalism work placement on Sir Ray Tindle's newspapers.

There are six scholarships available, several worth in excess of £12,000 over the two years of study. The maximum scholarship amounts are reserved for the academically best qualified (or those with the best work experience, in the case of mature applicants). However, there is a range of awards, so that those with a demonstrable flair for journalism but not necessarily with the highest grades can also benefit.

This is a great opportunity for budding journalists to get ahead of the rest. Needless to say, only those keen to kick-start their journalism career need apply! If that’s you, see links below for more information and good luck with your application!
