DR MATT RIDLEY TO GIVE LECTURE AT BUCKINGHAM

Thursday 9th October 2003

The University is absolutely delighted to be able to announce an exciting lecture to be given this week.

On Tuesday 14th October, Matt Ridley, the famous science writer and Chairman for the International Centre for Life (the UK's first biotechnology village, Newcastle upon Tyne) whose best known book is The Origins of Virtue , will be talking. He will explain that the biology of human goodness runs so deep that it can be found even in our DNA and genes.

Matt Ridley is a brilliant lecturer with a global reputation and we are extraordinarily lucky that he is visiting the University. His talk is entitled "The Biological Basis of Doing Good".

The talk will begin at 18:30 and will take place in the Ian Fairbairn Lecture Hall at the Chandos Road Building, Buckingham.
