|
Tuesday 29th July 2003 (updated 17th January 2005)
The first edition of the text was published in 1981 and previous editions have been adopted in many universities both in the UK and in numerous other countries around the world. The seventh edition, which runs to 720 pages, has been thoroughly revised and updated to reflect recent and planned developments in the rapidly changing area of financial reporting. It provides extensive coverage of developments in the EU and explains the increasing importance of international standards set by the International Accounting Standards Board. It provides in-depth discussion and analysis of all the major areas of financial reporting, including such controversial issues as accounting for financial instruments, goodwill, pension costs and share options. Pearson Education have signed an agreement with China Renmin University Press for the production of a Chinese edition of the book, which is scheduled for September 2005. It will undoubtedly raise the profile of the University in this important market. Learn more about:
