DISTINGUISHED SERVICE MANAGEMENT ALUMNUS SPEAKS AT THE BUCKINGHAM BUSINESS BREAKFAST

Martin Wills, Business Strategy Development Manager at Anglian Water Group, delivered a very interesting talk at the fourth Buckingham Business Breakfast, held on campus on Wednesday 10th September 2003.

Martin presented an innovative model for effective outsourcing of services, a model that he had developed as part of the MSc Service Management dissertation he wrote three years ago at Buckingham. The audience, consisting of business people from a wide radius, included representatives of Business Link, Volkswagen and ChevronTexaco. They commented that they have found all of the Business Breakfasts inspirational and one of the participants said, "This is the best series I have...attended in my life".

Martin's talk was preceded by an exposition of the "Academic Perspective of the Pros and Cons of Outsourcing of Services" by V.S.Mahesh, Programme Director (Service Management), who had supervised Martin's dissertation.

The University is very proud at what Martin has achieved and wishes him well in what is sure to be a successful career.
