The University of Buckingham Concerts & Lectures Series

The Concerts & Lectures Series is an ongoing cultural extravaganza of classical music and fascinating lectures on a wide variety of subjects, performed by talented (often visiting) musicians, academics and experts. They are all open to the public, so whether you're staff, a student, alumni or just interested please come along and see what we've got to offer!

Venue details

All lectures are held in the Ian Fairbairn Lecture Hall, Chandos Road Building. Please check individual lectures for day and time. Drinks will be served in Seminar Rooms 4 & 5 following the lectures (except Tuesday 2 March) for all those who would like to stay for a short time of informal discussion. Admission is free (although donations are welcomed) and everyone is welcome. Free parking is available off Hunter Street or opposite the Chandos Road Building.

All classical concerts are held in the Radcliffe Centre. Lunchtime concerts start at 13:15. Admission at the door is £3.50 (concessions £2.50). Please note that no refreshments will be served at this term's concerts.

All donations received at public lectures during 2010 will be given to UBSOS (University of Buckingham Supporting Overseas Schooling) which raises money to help educate children in deprived countries. Many of these countries are home to Buckingham's alumni and students and we will be using their local knowledge and expertise to make the best use of the money collected for long-term projects in the regions.
