Touch typing training

  • Julie LeachDo you find typing, frustrating and painstakingly slow?
  • Are you constantly looking for elusive keys?
  • Is your thought process interrupted, when searching the keyboard for letters?
  • Would you like to learn the most economical way to word process.
  • Are you wasting time because you have not mastered the most fundamental skill for keyboard users, 'touch typing'?

If you have answered yes to one or more of the above, why not treat yourself to a computerised touch typing course.

Students progress at their individual pace and by the final session it is possible to achieve a speed of between 25 - 30 wpm. On completion of the course you will have covered all of the letters on the keyboard, including some punctuation marks and capital letters. You will also have the opportunity to take a speed test. All course materials are provided.

There is no set start date to begin. The course supervisor will be in the IT Training Room, Hunter Street Library, from 17:15 every Tuesday during term time. If you are prepared to commit to six consecutive weeks and would like to take this course or if you would like more information, please contact Julie Leach, +44 (0)1280 828322, or +44 (0)7793 047837, email julie.leach@buckingham.ac.uk. The fee is £45.

This course is available to Buckingham students and members of the public.
