New Director of the Wallace Collection

Dr Christoph Vogtherr, who teaches on the MA Decorative Arts and Historic Interiors and is a specialist curator in eighteenth-century French painting has been appointed new Director of the Wallace Collection www.wallacecollection.org Dr Vogtherr will take over upon Dame Rosalind Savill’s retirement at the end of this year. Versailles 2011Paris  visit (April 2011)

Current students on the MA Programme on their 2011 visit to the Palace of Versailles in Paris. The students travelled with Helen Jacobsen, Lecturer in French Decorative Arts & Interiors. The visit takes place as part of their study week in France, which is an essential part of the MA Programme.


Gunnersbury ParkGunnersbury Park (March 2011)

Diana Davies, graduate student on the MA Decorative Arts & Historic Interiors gave a lecture on Gunnersbury Park and the Rothschild family. Diana researched this magnificent property as the subject of her dissertation for the MA Programme.  Gunnersbury Park is now a museum:  click here for more information.


Students at graduationGraduation 2011 (February 2011)

The first cohort of MA in Decorative Arts students during the graduation ceremony at St Peter & St Paul’s church at Buckingham in February 2011. With Jeremy Howard, the Programme Director, are Diana Davies, Harriet Bennett and Emma Dalla Libera.
