Peter Farquhar graduated in English from the University of Cambridge (Churchill College), having been taught by George Steiner. He was Senior English Master at the Manchester Grammar School, before becoming Head of English and Sixth Form Tutor at Stowe School. He has lectured on Shakespeare’s plays at various institutions over the years. He gave a series of guest lectures on the Romantic Poets at the University of Buckingham in 2008 and will be presenting a series on the Court in the Canterbury Tales for Arts Pursuits at the University in October. His novel Between Boy and Man was published in October 2010. He currently teaches the Romantic Poets and the Modernists in the Department.
