Caroline Cushen, Lecturer in EFL at the University of BuckinghamMEd (TEFL) Exeter, BA (Fine Art) Ravensbourne, Dip (TEFLA), Cert (TEFLA) RSA

Caroline Cushen has taught EFL in many countries over the past 15 years, including Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Venezuela, (then) Czechoslovakia and Hungary. Since returning to the UK , she has worked at Exeter, Derby and Nottingham Universities. She joined the University of Buckingham as a full-time Lecturer on 24th September, 2001.

Ms Cushen is co-author of Achieve IELTS (London: Marshall Cavendish, 2005), and Achieve IELTS 2 (London: Marshall Cavendish, 2006). These courses are designed to prepare students for success in the International English Language Testing System. They take students from band 4.5 to 6 and 5.5 to 7 respectively and feature questions, tasks and instructions that closely follow those in the test to make sure that students are well-prepared in advance. The course also prepares students for academic life after IELTS by giving them the language and cross-cultural knowledge to deal with life in international education.
